The VIPER project

In collaboration with Edinburgh Napier University Institute for Informatics and Digital Innovation, work on VIPER (Visual Interactive Pedigree ExploreR) commenced in July 2010.

This BBSRC-funded project will develop an improved visualisation tool for exploring and consistency- checking pedigree/genotype data, presenting a more intuitive interface to display data in a hierarchical pedigree. Further enhancements will utilize additional metrics to explore the inheritance pattern of errors and thus focus on possible causative errors.
